Stox on TV?
Our sport gets little coverage on TV, but later today starts a new programme from Warneton on MotorsTV....

Starting this Saturday at 6pm, the European Late Model Series series will have a regular Saturday afternoon or evening TV slot through to the championship’s conclusion in October.

While the majority of the rounds will come from the 3/8 mile banked American-style oval at Warneton Speedway in Belgium, the series will also visit Britain’s Lydden Hill race circuit and the short ovals of Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich, and Hednesford Raceway during the summer. For more details and transmission times check the www.shortcircuitmag.info site.

Oval Track Classic is Out

Just in case you didn't know, a new magazine has just been launched: Motor racing author and broadcaster Richard John Neil has teamed up with Short Circuit / YBA Publications to produce a magazine dedicated to the history and heritage of short oval motor racing. The first issue is now available and will be produced quarterly from there on in. Following on from the success of Richard’s four books and the Short Circuit Retro magazine features, Oval Track Classic will carry features on drivers, cars, circuits and anything related to small oval racing in years gone by. In addition to archive material it is fully intended to look at how the sport’s heritage is being preserved through the drivers and supporters of historic and classic oval racing that has become established over the last few seasons.
