Saloon Stox at Arena Essex

Jamie Clayton leads Carl Waterford in the Saloon Stock Cars at Arena Essex.

The mighty two litre Saloon Stock Cars were providing lots of action and excitement at Arena Essex during mid-May, with current World Champion Eddie Darby taking two good heat wins.
There was drama during the second heat when Simon Welton crashed hard into the side of Ian Willis. The resulting damage to the Willis car included broken front suspension, buckled and twisted side irons, and a massive hole cut into the passenger side.
Despite the damage, Willis managed to re-appear to contend the Final, which was won by London’s Danny Colliver, from English Champion Shane Brown who also had a good points scoring meeting.
