Brothers in Stock Cars

The two identical cars of Darren and Luke Phllips at Arena Essex.

Brothers Darren and Luke Phillips enjoyed a successful day at their home track of Arena Essex, during the BriSCA F2 Stock Car World Championship qualifying round meeting.
The two yellow grade brothers from nearby Canvey Island, were both driving identical cars sponsored by Matt Roach Racing.
Youngest brother Luke almost won the first race, but was pushed wide by Chris Bradbury on the last lap, he eventually came home in second place.
Darren won the second race, and Luke made up for his earlier disappointment, by taking victory in heat three.
Luke looked like a sure winner in the Final, when he pulled out a long lead in the early stages, but unfortunately a plug lead came off, and he didn’t finish.

All-in-all a very successful points scoring meeting for the duo, who will surely be promoted very soon from the yellow grade.
