Ringwood Hot Rods

Paul Perry leads current Western Champion Mick Ramsay in the Outlaw Hot Rods at Ringwood.

The Outlaw Hot Rods were at Ringwood on May Bank holiday Monday with the National specification cars racing together with the 2 Litres, although both classes were competing for separate points and trophies.
A good sixteen-car entry came on track for the first heat, with grid positions were drawn out of the hat. Colin White, who had won the previous day’s Final at Mendips, took the first win in the Nationals, with Graham Jackson the victor in the 2 litre category.
There was a good side-by-side battle in the second race between Mick Cave and Guy Morgan, with Morgan ending up the winner in the Nationals. Current Western Champion Mick Ramsay came home first in the 2 litres.

Graham Jackson took at Heat and Final double of wins at Ringwood.

Both Colin White and Graham Jackson managed to take further victories in each division, during the Finals, each claiming a heat and final ‘double’ of wins. Ringwood will stage the Outlaw Hot Rod World final during the mid August Tornado meeting, where Alan Milford will defend his title.
