After driving in BriSCA Formula Two Stock Cars for the past few seasons, veteran racer Chris Roots has now returned to the Superstox.
Chris arrived for Wimbledon’s March meeting, in a beautiful new Terry George built car, which was certainly causing some attention in the pits prior to the start of the meeting.
Chris explained ‘I still have my Formula Two Stock Car at home and I will probably drive it on a few occasions during 2012, but Superstox racing will now take priority.
Chris, who had only driven the car on a few test laps at Arena Essex prior to his Wimbledon debut, choose to line up at the very rear of the grid for each race, alongside World Champion Nick Smith.

This first March meeting continued to be a testing time for the new car, with overheating problems in the first heat, although Chris did manage to finish in the placings in both the second heat and the Final.
