Bradbury’s Near Maximum

The Kings Lynn F2 World Qualifier on 3rd March saw Chris Bradbury in amazing form as he took a fine heat and Final double, before having a great chance of winning the National from the lap handicap. A race stoppage helped him move up the places, and by the last lap of the race he was chasing the leading Allen Cooper. The latter was then delayed on the pit bend by an errant backmarker, allowing Bradbury to close right up. Bradbury then bumpered Cooper into the last bend, but the pair tangled and Bradbury half rode up the fence, allowing Graham Mole to sneak through for the win, Bradbury recovering for a sixth place. Cooper then unsportingly rammed Bradbury after the race, getting disqualified for his actions.
