Panton’s New Charger
Simon Panton has taken delivery of a used 2011 PRO DXR’s. These cars were built by PRO in their manufacturing facility in Frederica, Delaware, USA, and raced in the USA last season and were taken in as a part exchange by PRO. The cars and then shipped them over to the UK to be raced as UK Modifieds. This process only took approximately eight weeks from the initial contact with PRO to these cars arriving in the UK. A special mention must go the Walt Breeding and Richard Rexrode from www.proracecars.com as without their help and commitment these cars would have never arrived.
Simon raced three times last year in three different cars and enjoyed all three meetings, all for different reasons. Simon is not a new name to the oval racing scene as he has raced F1’s F2’s and Mini’s during his career. He is looking forward to the challenge of the UK Modifieds for a whole season as he had great fun last year. As said above Simon has bought an ‘11 PRO DXR with a ’06 Suzuki GSXR 1000 in it. The car has seen little racing in the USA and therefore did not require a re-paint. The car duly arrived was de-numbered and sent off to the sign writers. Again it is another great example now it is completed. The car only needed a seat installing in it and the tyres changing and the car is ready to race.
