A Unique Event
A unique event in the history of oval motor sport will take place in 2005 – when the BriSCA F1 and F2 StockCar World Championships are staged at the same venue in the same year with just six days separating them. Northampton International Raceway (NIR) will host these two major sporting events in September, attracting thousands of spectators from all over the British Isles and Europe to one of the most historic Raceways in the country. By running these Championships at the same venue, the promoters, Incarace, will be able to transform the Raceway’s facilities and capacity to enable the large crowds to be accommodated in this popular quarter mile asphalt stadium. The BriSCA F1 World Weekender: an unmatched line-up of the sport’s top National and International names on World Final and World Masters Day NIR will celebrate 50 years of continuous Formula 1 Stock Car racing in 2005 and this will be the first time it has staged the World Final for the ‘Big League’ racers. Over 3,500 top quality grandstand seats are being bought in for the two events, as well as additional toilets, showers, catering, and marquees featuring top quality entertainment.
Northamptonshire is well served with first class road and rail links plus plenty of hotel accommodation within a short distance of the stadium. The stage is set for two weekends of fast and furious World Final action in September 2005 – make sure you don’t miss them!
